The 7th Annual NY-St. Petersburg Institute of Linguistics, Cognition and Culture, (NYI 7)

Dear friends and colleagues,

St. Petersburg State University and the State University of New York (Stony Brook University) offer a unique nonprofit academic summer program – The New York-St. Petersburg Institute of Linguistics, Cognition and Culture (NYI 7)!

In July of 2009 the program will open its doors at the Philological faculty of St. Petersburg State University for the 7th time.

The NYI summer program is aimed at students and researchers with relevant academic background interested in improving their knowledge in formal linguistics, cultural studies and cognitive psychology. The working language of the program is English.

To meet the high scholarly standards of the NYI faculty, competitive selection based on recommendations will help to attract enthusiastic and knowledgeable students from Russia, the USA, Western and Eastern Europe, as well as young researchers who are already part of the international scientific community.

You are welcome to visit our website at www.nyi.spb.ru and print out the information materials to be handed to the most enthusiastic and talented students:
- «NYI Posters» link has a printing version of NYI 2009 billboard;
- beginning with April 1 electronic application form is available in the section «Application Process».
